MAKE has reached their $100,000 donation goal!

MAKE Vancouver is proud to announce that it has successfully reached its goal of raising $100,000 for Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) through the sale of its iconic "Every Child Matters" Orange Shirts. This milestone, achieved through a dedicated community effort over the last four years, reflects MAKE's commitment to supporting Indigenous youth programs and honouring Residential School Survivors.

The fundraising campaign, in collaboration with local Indigenous artist KC Hall, has garnered widespread support, with funds directly benefiting hundreds of local Indigenous youth through cultural activities, workshops, and educational programs.

“We raise our hands to MAKE for this milestone achievement of raising $100K in 4 years for UNYA programs. We are honoured that MAKE is partnered with UNYA to raise awareness on the importance of Orange shirt day and Truth and Reconciliation,” said UNYA CEO Cheryl Robinson.

"We’re so thankful for the community’s exceptional support of this initiative over the last three years," said MAKE Vancouver’s President, Stacy Hall. "This achievement proves what we can accomplish together for Indigenous communities."

The partnership between MAKE Vancouver and UNYA, launched in 2021, has consistently raised funds each year, contributing $37,393 in 2021, $26,758 in 2022, and additional contributions leading up to this milestone. The initiative's success has not only provided essential resources to Indigenous youth but has also raised awareness about the importance of Orange Shirt Day and the need for reconciliation.

The $20 shirts will be available online while quantities last.
